Users and their commitments
Viewing an account, and adding, changing or removing what someone is committed to.
Users lists every account. Click an email to open that person.
The detail page
The header carries their identity, sign-up method, balance, any locked balance from a pending payout, and how many packages they have sent. All of it is context for judging whether an edit makes sense; none of it is edited here.
Editing commitments
Open commitments are editable in place: change a quantity with the stepper or by typing, remove a line with the bin, or Add a commitment to give them a deal they never committed to themselves.
Edits are staged, then saved together
Nothing is written until you press Save and email. That is deliberate: every save emails the person, so applying each click immediately would send five emails for one sitting's work. The bar at the bottom says exactly what is about to happen — "2 changed · 1 removed" — before it happens.
The optional note in the save bar is sent to them verbatim. Use it when the change needs a reason:
Bumped your Starlink allocation, we had spare pool. The Switch deal closed this morning.
What cannot be edited
Anything already inside a package or a drop-off that has been sent. Those are listed separately under Already in motion and are read-only, because rewriting them would change what a warehouse is expecting after the goods are on their way.
Guards
- Closed deals cannot be added. A deal set inactive is not committable.
- Pool limits are enforced. If a deal has a maximum and the rest of the platform has claimed it, the save is refused and says how many are left.
- Quantities must be whole numbers, and zero means remove.
The email
Every save sends Your commitments changed, listing each line as added, changed or removed — a change shows both figures, "4 → 10 units" — then everything they are committed to afterwards, then your note.
If the email fails, the edit still stands and the page tells you to contact them yourself. An edit that emailed nobody is still an edit, but it is one they do not know about.
Making someone an admin
The role toggle is on the users table, not here. It grants access to this panel, so it is deliberately kept away from the day-to-day editing screen.
