Payout methods
Setting up Wise or PayPal, and the emailed code that protects the change.
Set this up under Wallet → Payout method. You need one before you can withdraw.
The two options
Wise
Give the account holder's name and the email on the Wise account. Best for bank transfers and non-US accounts.
PayPal
Upload the QR code from your PayPal app. We scan it to pay you, so there is no email address to mistype.
Wise
Two fields: name and email.
The name must match the Wise account
Banks reject transfers where the name does not match the receiving account. That rejection happens at the bank, days later, not in our app — so a typo here is slow to discover and slow to fix.
PayPal
Open PayPal, go to your QR code, screenshot or save it, and upload the image. PNG or JPEG, up to 5MB.
Your QR is stored privately. It is never shown to anyone else and is only retrieved when finance is paying you.
The emailed code
Changing your payout method requires a code sent to your email address.
Request the change
Enter the new details and submit.
Check your email
A six-digit code is sent to the address on your account. It is valid for 10 minutes.
Enter the code
The change is saved only after the code is accepted. If the code is wrong, the old method stays in place and the code is not spent — you can try again.
Why this exists
Changing where money goes is the most valuable thing an attacker could do with a stolen session. The code means taking over an account is not enough to redirect a payout — they would need your email too.
If you cannot receive the code
The code goes to the email on your account. If you have lost access to that address, contact support — do not create a second account, because your balance belongs to the first one.
