The notification centre
What the bell shows, where each item comes from, and what unread means.
The bell in the top bar carries a count when something has happened since you last looked.
The three tabs
| Tab | What is in it |
|---|---|
| All | Everything, newest first, grouped by day. |
| Needs you | The platform is waiting on you. An approved drop-off you have not made yet, or a missing ship-from address. |
| Money | Balance credits and payouts. |
Anything that is neither — a rejected drop-off, an accepted receipt, an announcement — appears under All only.
What you will see there
| Notification | When |
|---|---|
| Your ship-from address is incomplete | Whenever it is. We cannot buy you a label without it, and this is the only place that says so before you try to ship. |
| Drop-off approved | We cleared a drop-off. Carries the warehouse and the agreed day. |
| Drop-off not approved | With the reason. |
| Receipt accepted | Your drop-off receipt matched. |
| Balance credited | A package was checked in and paid, with the UPC, quantity and unit price. |
| Payout requested / sent | Money leaving to Wise or PayPal. |
| Announcements | Anything we post to everyone. |
Unread
Anything that happened after the last time you opened the panel is unread, and opening the panel marks everything read. There is no per-item read state and nothing to tick off.
The exception is the incomplete-address warning, which stays until the address exists. It is a condition, not an event.
Where it comes from
Nothing is stored as a separate notification. The feed is assembled from what actually happened — your drop-offs, your transactions, your payouts, our announcements — so it cannot disagree with the rest of the app, and it was already complete the day it launched for everyone with history.
It is not a replacement for email
Everything important is emailed too. The bell is for when you are already in the app; the email is for when you are not.
